I can hardly believe that I am blogging my final wedding of 2013! Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Margaret + Cole in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama. As the wedding approached, I scanned the forecast, and much to my dismay, I saw that they were calling for rain all day long. We decided that it was probably best to organize a rain plan, complete with rain boots, umbrellas and covered areas to photograph under to avoid any precipitation. On my drive to the house to meet the girls, the rain was pretty much nonstop and heavy. I arrived at the house before they were back from the salon, and within 30 minutes, the sun was out and shining! We had a beautiful, dry day with gorgeous light and only a little mud to avoid, but this was the kind of December weather you can only dream of!! Margaret + Cole, it was a joy working with you and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your time in Hawaii!! Below are some of my favorite images from the day.
After we finished some portraits at the house, we headed to the duck pond at Fairhope Pier Park for their First Look + wedding party portraits. While I have been to Fairhope + the pier before, I have never been as far back as the duck pond and was simply thrilled with the location! Margaret is a HUGE nature lover and I think that this was just the perfect spot for their photos!
LOVE the red shoes!!
After we finished our pictures at the park, we took a short drive to Fairhope Methodist Church for a few more portraits before their ceremony.
After the ceremony, Margaret + Cole’s dog Diesel joined us for a few “family” portraits. You guys know that I have a soft spot for fur babies, so I was ALL about this!
One last portrait before heading to the reception…
The lovely ladies at Southern Affairs decorated the PZK Hall in Robertsdale with beautiful details that were totally Margaret + Cole.
Cole + his family are HUGE Alabama fans, so naturally, the groom’s cake was all about the Crimson Tide.
More reception fun!
And before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye, thus marking the end of my 2013 wedding season and the beginning of a beautiful marriage. I couldn’t love my job any more and can’t WAIT to see what 2014 has in store!
