I met Carley, along with her mother + sister, at this year’s bridal expo and we all hit it off IMMEDIATELY! Little did we know, Carley’s cousin, Amanda, is a good friend of mine and the more we chatted, the more we realized what a perfect match we would be! Carley’s excitement about her engagement to Dylan (+ life in general) is contagious and I knew that would translate beautifully in their photos. We scheduled their engagement session for late March and as the date approached, the forecast was looking bleak. We talked about rescheduling but decided to feel it out and thanks-be-to-Mother-Nature, we had a GORGEOUS evening! We started right outside Carley’s parents house at Bayview Park in the East Hill neighborhood of Pensacola. I’m not kidding – these first fiew images in front of the water are just steps from their front door! What an amazing view! I knew as soon as I snapped the first few photos that they were naturals in front of the camera and it was time to get to work!
Our next stop was the 17th Street Graffiti Bride – one of Carley’s favorite Pensacola landmarks. She said that she drives under the bridge every day on her way to work and considers it a “lucky day” when a train is going over the bridge at the same time. And in wonderful coincidence (or as luck would have it,) halfway through our shoot, a train came over the bridge for the PERFECT photo op!
We finished up their session along the water as the sunlight dwindled – what a pleasure it was hanging out with these two! I can’t wait for their October wedding!!
