Nothing quite says vacation like Margaritaville, and what better place to celebrate your destination wedding with a bunch of Mid-Westerners! I have been looking forward to Laurie + Jason’s wedding since we moved to San Francisco last fall. Not only did we get to return to shoot at one of my favorite venues, during my favorite time of year, but Laurie + Jason are just such fantastic people. Traveling across the country for work; this is our new normal, and we just love it. We began our 5 weeks(!) of travel by arriving at the airport and heading straight to Laurie + Jason’s for a little welcome BBQ. That’s right, they invited us to their party. That’s the kind of people we’re talking about. We immediately felt like family and the smiles didn’t leave our faces for the rest of the weekend. It was that good. On the day of their wedding, Laurie + Jason celebrated with their guests in true island style and it was clear that everyone enjoyed this little time in paradise. Although we had to switch to the rain plan for the ceremony, Laurie + Jason braved some light sprinkles to get some of the prettiest photos EVER. We can’t thank you guys enough for having us and just being awesome. We dig you.
Laurie + Jason’s rings were engraved in gaelic with “I am my Beloved, and my Beloved is mine.”
There was a verrrry light rain happening during these photos, but Laurie + Jason made the right choice to keep shooting. The rainy, filtered light was just incredible! I am in LOVE with these colors!
A definite favorite:
Jason is a man of many faces.
