Misha + Vahram: Engaged | St. John Armenian Apostolic Church | San Francisco, California

The evening before Misha + Vahram’s wedding, we gathered at St. John Armenian Apostolic Church high up in the Twin Peaks neighborhood of San Francisco to celebrate these soon-to-be-newlyweds!  We began the evening with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in honor of Misha’s family’s heritage.  Considered the most sacred ritual of Chinese nuptials, the tea ceremony serves as a symbol of the bride’s introduction to the groom’s family, and consists of the bride + groom presenting their elders with tea as a symbol of respect and appreciation.  In return, Misha’s grandmother, parents + Vahram’s parents presented the couple with beautiful gifts.  Afterwards, we gathered inside the church for a quick rehearsal, followed by a few impromptu engagement photos outside.  After seeing how natural Misha + Vahram were in front of the camera, it made me even MORE excited for their wedding the following day.  And just wait for those photos…. they did NOT disappoint!  More coming soon!  2015-06-24_0001.jpg
