Typical protocol for rain on engagement session days calls for a reschedule, but this particular session HAD to happen. You see, we were on the East Coast for Thanksgiving, and had ONE day to get to NYC for Jenna + Austin’s engagement session. And I couldn’t be happier that we did! From the moment we met at the corner of Central Park West & 72nd Street, this session was SO. MUCH. FUN. Things definitely got off to a good start – Jenna + Austin brought us delicious cookies from Levain, which we have never had, but have been DYING to try. Seriously, how lucky are we to have such awesome clients!? It rained basically the entire session, but these two saw the bright side, popped that umbrella and rocked their photos! While I was worried that the rain and late November conditions may impact our shot, we were graced with the last of Central Park’s fall colors, minimal crowds due to the rain, beautiful light AND mild temps (again, in LATE November!) For a girl who’s been dying to shoot in Central Park since picking up a camera, this was a dream come true – and Jenna + Austin were dream clients. We can’t wait until their May 2016 wedding in San Jose!!
Although I made a point to constantly wipe my lens free of rain drops, there were a few photos that really captured an ethereal effect due to the fact that I didn’t quite dry it off completely…. and I have to say that I kinda like it 🙂
