If I had to pick one word to describe Amanda and Matt it would be: F.U.N.! (Just wait for the food truck at their reception!) Ever since their rainy engagement session at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, I’ve been looking forward to photographing their wedding at the gorgeous Picchetti Winery in Cupertino. While the forecast on their wedding day also called for rain, luckily we only had to dodge a few sprinkles during portraits, with and Amanda + Matt taking it all in stride. It was my first time photographing at Picchetti Winery and it was SUCH a dream. The foggy mountainside, paired with the soft, even light from the cloudy skies made their photos extra romantic… which I love, of course! Where else can you find a venue with peacocks and deer roaming the grounds, wild calla lilies growing by the dozens AND picturesque views?? I mean! One of my favorite moments of the day was their sweet First Look – Matt was SO excited to see his beautiful bride! Being a part of that moment is something I will never forget! It was a simply magical day – the spring florals, the gorgeous backdrop of the winery, and most of all, this incredible couple. Amanda + Matt, I am so thankful for you two and your amazing families. You guys are the reason I love my job so much and it was SUCH a privilege to photograph your day! I hope you had the most FABULOUS time on your honeymoon… Welcome home, newlyweds!
Amanda’s cousin, Becca, of Chalk Whimsy, made her bouquet…. ummmm….can we say talented?!?!
Meanwhile, Jeff was with Matt as he got ready in downtown Cupertino… Not pictured: the gift of Doritos from Best Man Marc that accompanied his scotch 😉
Time for their First Look!
More with Amanda’s bouquet…. I just couldn’t help myself!
Loved their small bridal party!
Some sweet family portrait moments…
Everywhere you turned there was a new, beautiful area to photograph at Picchetti Winery. I can’t WAIT to work here again!
I’d like to thank El Niño for making California green again 😉
Time to get MARRIED!
Coolest giveaway ever? (The answer is yes.)
We squeezed in just a few more newlyweds portraits and then it was off to the party!
To add to their coolness factor, Amanda + Matt hired a FOOD TRUCK to serve their guests their wedding meal. If you ever see this particular food truck on the road in the Bay Area, RUN, don’t walk! (Even after literally eating BBQ IN Texas the week before,) this is literally the BEST BBQ I’ve ever tasted!! John and his team at Capelo’s Barbecue are food ARTISTS and amazing at what they do!! I’m hungry again just looking at these photos!!
Congratulations, friends! We absolutely adored spending your day together!
