Even though they currently call Manhattan home, I was thrilled to learn that Katie + Masheed would be visiting the Bay Area just a few weeks before their East Coast wedding AND that they wanted to know if I could squeeze in an engagement session here in San Francisco. I’ve known Masheed since he was in middle school, but hadn’t had the chance to meet Katie until the day of their session. Needless to say, we immediately connected like we’d been friends for years, and exactly as I suspected, Katie is the absolute perfect match for Masheed. Keeping in line with the fact that these two are the coolest, they left the locations up to me – with their only request being that we included the Golden Gate Bridge! So on a perfectly foggy and windy San Francisco “summer” day, we headed to Baker Beach for the first portion of their shoot. Right away, I could tell that it was going to be fun photographing these two! With basically zero prompting from me, they bounced between snuggling up with one another and being perfectly silly and happy together – seriously, what more could I ask for? After a slight change of plans, we ended up heading to Sutro Baths for their second outfit, complete with the added bonus of seeing another classic San Francisco landmark during their short trip to the city. It’s hard to believe that I’m already back from their gorgeous wedding in the Poconos – stay tuned for much more to come!!
