The phrase “new chapter” is thrown around a lot in weddings, but for Jordan and Greg, their wedding was, quite literally, the beginning of a brand new life together. After meeting in college at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, these two kept their long distance romance going through many years (and miles) of being stationed apart. Most recently, they were both living in Florida, close enough to see each other a few weekends a month, but still living separately and clocking LOTS of miles behind the wheel. One such weekend, under the guise of spending a few days in Key West, Greg instead popped THE question, and surprised Jordan with a trip home to Ohio to celebrate with friends and family. Naturally, the celebrating continued as they began their plans for a summer 2017 Granville wedding. Of course, planning a wedding is no easy task, but imagine planning yours from 1000+ miles away, add living 4 hours from your fiancé, AND throw in an upcoming move to New Orleans for both of you? But with all of their hard work, long drives and the support of their incredible families, Jordan + Greg’s gorgeous wedding weekend was nothing short of perfection. Some of my favorite details included their fresh, perfect-for-summer color palette, the men dressed in their whites and swords, and the stunning polo fields at the Bryn Du Mansion. Filled with guests from near and far, Jordan and Greg were showered with love, support, pride and joy, and boy, was it fun! From the many happy tears that were shed (#guilty) to one of the most fun dance floors I’ve ever witnessed to the homemade buckeyes made by Grandma Carole, I’m so happy that our first time in Ohio was marked by such a special weekend, such a fun party, and such an awesome couple. Jordan and Greg, thank you for trusting that flying your photographers all the way from California was going to be totally worth it 😉 We couldn’t be happier that we were there to catch it all!
We made a quick stop at Granville’s annual 4th of July celebration for some fun + festive portraits before making our way to the gorgeously green Wildwood Park nearby.
