It’s been almost 10 years since I photographed my first wedding, and at present, I’m set to shoot my 2ooth next season, which is hard to believe in itself. But nothing up to this point has really prepared me for this blog post – my own little brother is married, and WE were his photographers! He was still in COLLEGE when I started shooting weddings! There’s never been another person on this blog that I’ve known longer, or better, or been in more adolescent arguments with. There’s been no one else that shares the same dinner table conversation, family traditions, weird sense of humor and random inside jokes. Throughout my career, I’ve spent long days and nights working on creating photos for families to love and cherish for a lifetime, and I’m so very happy that it’s finally come full circle, to my family, for my people, to get this gift. It was a perfect day to celebrate these two, albeit a little surreal at times: arranging family photos with my aunts and uncles, on the dance floor with my cousins, as my parents stood by my brother’s side at the ceremony, and taking pictures of the beautiful bride, my new sister, Cait. If you remember their sweet campus engagement session from last year, you already know how I feel about her and my brother. This was meant to be. We couldn’t be happier for them and their fabulous wedding, held in Cait’s charming hometown of Doylestown – the only thing missing was their Corgi, Link! Despite his absence, you couldn’t deny that this day was all about family, love, and celebrating these two crazy kids. I’ll never forget looking over on the dance floor and seeing my baby brother’s smiling face as he danced alongside his beaming bride. Cait and Jeff, we love you!
