On their first date, Jackie and Shaun decided to let fate make their choices for them, or more specifically, the City of Palo Alto and it’s traffic lights. As they strolled through the downtown streets with no real destination in mind, they made it a game to turn in whatever direction the light was green, creating an adventure out of what could have been just another cup of coffee, and beginning their love story of a lifetime of shenanigans. That’s the thing about Jackie + Shaun – they are always up for an experience and out to have a good time, whether in everyday life or off on a trip to an exotic locale. And let me tell you – these two take their travels to the next level – literally the day after we took these photos they were off to spend a week in Hawaii, and more recently, I’ve been seeing posts of their insane adventures skiing in Austria and spending the night in ice hotels in Norway. Regardless of where they go next, I’m ready and willing to sneak into their suitcase! On the day of their session, we kept things closer to home… and by that I mean we started the session at their gorgeous house in Redwood City. Between their beautiful backyard and their precious pets, it was so fun seeing these two in their natural element. And when they broke out the sombreros and margs, I knew we were meant to be. For our second look, we headed to a scenic vista nearby, just off of 280. That’s right, I’m talking about the freeway! Jackie’s mom did an incredible job scouting out this hidden-in-plain-sight-gem for their photos and I’m absolutely in love with the results. Between the spectacular views, the crawling oak trees and this vibrant couple, it was the perfect way to end their session under the glow of a warm California sunset. We are so thankful to the fabulous Robin Sevrina Events for connecting us and cannot WAIT to keep the party going with these two this July at their inevitably epic wedding at Gardener Ranch!
