When I asked Virginia and Mike which of their wedding photos were most important to them, their answer didn’t surprise me. Family, they said. Virginia + Mike’s families were so interwoven into every aspect of their wedding, from the venue … Continue reading
I’m going to be honest with you and tell you that Jenna + Austin won us over the very moment we met at their Central Park engagement session last November. They brought us cookies. And we REALLY like cookies! But … Continue reading
Rachel + Kevin, where do I start? I met these two earlier this year for their engagement photos and we talked hypothetically about me coming out to California for their wedding. A few email conversations later and here we are! I’m so happy to show these images from my first California wedding, but more importantly, I’m happy for my new friends Rachel + Kevin to relive such a special day in their lives. These two are SURROUNDED by people that love them so much. And awesome people, at that! It was such an honor that they picked me to be their photographer from over 2000 miles away. Rachel + Kevin, you guys are my kind of people.
We started the day at Rachel’s parents house for hair + makeup, so I got to meet the family as they hung out before leaving for the wedding. I’m going to warn you in advance, Rachel’s nephews were the cutest!
Later, we put on the finishing touches at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. I got to hang out with the guys while they prepped – something I don’t always get to be a part of. Lucky for me, these guys were hilarious + a whole lotta fun.
We headed downstairs for their First Look…
And then it was time for some portraits around the hotel!
THIS RED DOOR. That is all.
Then, the rest of their bridal party joined us for some group shots.
We had LOTS of fun!
Rachel’s bridesmaid, Bri (on the right) made all of the bouquets + boutonnieres. Isn’t she so talented?!
A few more shots with Rachel + Kevin, and DEFINITELY some favorites!
After we finished with photos, we all walked to the church for the ceremony.
We made it!
Time to party! Rachel + Kevin’s reception was tons of fun. Their band, the Houserockers, killed it and had the crowd dancing the whole night!
A mother-son choreographed dance? I love it!
Loved their cake toppers!
And here are a WHOLE bunch of fun photos from this fun night!
This is the last photo I took. I’m not kidding when I say this party was crazy fun!
